Re: Burmese!!!
Well congrats.. but I hope you know what you're getting into. Even males can top 12' and 100lbs.. females 20' and 200lbs or more. They need rabbits to eat and a huge cage when full grown. You also should have at least one other person around to help you handle it when it's an adult.
I don't mean to sound pessimistic.. it's just that according to your profile, you're only 14.. that's pretty young to be having the responsibility of keeping a giant snake.
That said, I wish you the best with it, they're wonderful animals.

Re: Burmese!!!
First off, congrats.
Always remember to be careful at feeding time, no matter how big the snake is. In addition, remember that these giants remain in feeding mode for hours after they swallow their first meal. Be responsible, be careful, and be respectful. Raising it successfully and healthily is your goal .
AND DO NOT FORGET TO SHOW US PHOTOS.

Re: Burmese!!!
Welcome to the world of Giants. 14 isn't a bad age to get into Giants if your dedicated I got my first African Rock at 13-14 years old.
Burms are wicked cool snakes, but very powerful, so keep on your toes! Never let their modest temper lull you into a false sense of security, and be prepared. At your age, it does take some determination to keep at it with giants. They really get to be a handful. Cleaning their cage, getting bit, their sometimes unwanted temper, and a myriad of other things can happy that could either make you, or break you as a giant keeper Just keep at it, and don't give up! Good luck with your new pet!

Think burms are the best starter giant as well. Would you agree or disagree?
Think I was 14 when I got my first burm too. They're a joy to work with and I really regret selling mine.
