My 4 week old BP just eat his hopper mouse tail first. Is that bad?

no, just takes more effort on the snakes part to work it down. You'd be surprised how many snakes, BP's, corns, milks, kings, etc. are butt munchers on a regular basis. I only have 2 corn snakes at the moment, but both of them have munched a few butt first. As long as there is no regurg its good to go.

Re: Eating Backwards??
I have had some of mine do this from time to time with no ill effects. I saw someone once post a pic where the snake started tail-tip first! Literally swallowed the tail first and then the whole rat.. weirdos they can be.

yeah, when mine do it, it just takes longer and they seem tired out afterwards but that's as far as the "ill effects" go! nothing to worry about!
