    First double header tonight...

My boy is getting to the point that he could probably choke down a very small rat if he had to.

I've been feeding him jumbo mice from this exotics store that has an awesome selection of mice. Not only can you get jumbos but they'll even give you jumbos that are pregnant (although I just can bear to do that). I've really come to dislike the store because they rarely have quality personnel there and last time I was in there almost all of the snakes had shed stuck to them. In fact, there was a tiny baby ball there that had completely shed but the skin hadn't actually come off at all. He looked like he was wrapped in plastic. Heartbreaking.

So, there is this other store across the street that I like (where I got Snakey from) but they never have big mice. I hated going to the evil store so I decided to feed him two small adults this time.

It went pretty well. One thing that was really obvious was that he was able to both kill and swallow the smaller mice much faster. I think the faster kill was due to the fact that he was able to more easily get the head pinned so that the mouse couldn't breath. Boy he powered them down and looked like he could have gone for a third. One drawback was that he has never been feed two at once and so the second one caught him by surprise. He handled it well but I'm hoping if I consistently feed him two he'll pick up the new routine and be paying better attention when the second one is dropped in.

Haha, yeah, he'll get to where he starts looking around for a 3rd before you know it!

Yikes! I'm hoping to get back to one when he's big enough for rats.

But, I've heard that smaller prey items are better. He did make light work of those little guys! I posted kind of hoping I would get some feedback on experiences there. I should have taken pics - that's a big draw!
