Hmm... just wonderin.. one of my ball pythons..

The older of the two of my ball pythons, Judas. Is a very odd ball python, in that I really havent seen any that really look like him in certain ways.

He's got a really dark color to him... with hints speckled around of a pastel(ish) color... and the very tip of his face.. along his mouth.. is a very bright and prominent pink/peach.

I like to call him a peach nose lol!

anyhow, this isnt an important post really, I just figured some of you might find it interesting his oddness...
though im sure someone will let me know quickly that its not very unique haha

    Ok, so heres the deal..
I took some decent pictures. where you can kind of see the coloring on Judas's face.. the flash knocked most of it out with the brightness.
The trouble is.. i've tried for the past day or so to upload them, and they wont upload.. they load some, and then the page goes blank. and thats the end of it.

So if that ever starts working for me, i'll get them up!
    sorry for the delay

Re: Hmm... just wonderin.. one of my ball pythons..

    Hi,

Have you checked out the sticky on how to post pics? Are there any error messages or just a blank white page?

The only way I can manage to replicate the blank white page so far is to use Huuuuuuuge pictures (dimensions not file size) so any information might help us narrow it down. I run into the problem with pictures over 2261 pixels wide (if memory serves) - what size of pictures are you trying to upload?

Only picture of 800 pixels wide can be posted in the forums but larger pictures can be added as links obviously.

Hopefully we can find out what the problem is so we can see your pics.

Re: Hmm... just wonderin.. one of my ball pythons..

Haha, yes it was my stupidity, the file size was to large, my mistake.. i thought all the pictures i had taken were the same size.. since the one of me and scarlet went through lol. Well as was said.. heres a blurry pic of judas.. sorry about having a crappy camera.. and not good skills.. but if you look closely at the tip of his nose.. you'll see part of that pink that i was speaking off.. the flash knocked out the rest of the pink on his face... but he's still pretty

    Click for picture

And here is a pic of Judas back the best I could get it.. I dont think you can see the small specs of pastel on his back to well.. but maybe if you look closely

    Click for pic 2

AND NOW, this is my newest ball.. my little baby ball.. like, five weeks old here.. on their dragon.. and you can see Judas in the corner lol

And then this is the baby again, so you can see how pretty it is

    Click for picture 4

I think what you are calling "pastelish" on his back is what we call blushing. Blushing comes in varying degrees on normals. For example - extreme blushing on one of my normals:

Second observation - I see two things that I'm concerned with - a) you haven't quarantined your new baby from your established adult and b) it appears that you are housing them together when they should always be housed individually and only out together AFTER a 90 day quarantine.

Re: Hmm... just wonderin.. one of my ball pythons..

I have a close friend that has been in the exotic animals business for well over 20 years. And he actually helped me set up the tank for the two ball pythons.. Since Judas is still very young himself.. 5 months or so. We put them together, and they've been together for a couple of weeks now.

Feeding time is completely different in the since that they are both put into seperate tanks, and fed seperately and all of that, But thats how he has done all the ball pythons he's had over the years, and at his exotic pet store.
Those are really the only reasons that I have them like that. Thanks for checking the pictures and stuff out
