Art commissions - Pets - People - Other
I’m offering commissions for drawings of animals and people.
Here’s how it will work; you will send me a picture of whatever or whomever you want drawn, via email or paper mail (D8 I spelled it male!), I have little preference, and request a particular position you may wish for the animal or person in the picture to be in, select a size and medium, and we will work out the details from there.
This is where it gets interesting. If you happen to have a favorite animal, or pet, you may send me a picture of that animal and of yourself, and I will be able to mesh the pictures together and draw it—this essentially looks like a half-human, half-animal. Some people call them anthropomorphic, but when requesting it, it’s easier if you just request an “anthro”. I’m pretty good at making people look like themselves in my drawings, and specialize in close-up faces. I would ask that you try to position yourself in the picture with the facial expression you would like to see in the drawing, to make it as accurate as possible. For example, if you wanted a tiger anthro, you would find a picture of a tiger you liked, and take a photo of yourself. If you wanted your anthro-self snarling, you would do the best snarl you can and just snap a photo! That way it doesn’t end up looking like my tiger anthro, where I had no one to model for me and it looks as though she’s yawning. ^-^;;
But that’s it! It’s pretty simple.
Depending on my work and school schedules, and upon the number of commissions I have and on how large or complex your commission is, it may take anywhere from 1-4 weeks to get your commission, and maybe more; I’ve never done this before, and don’t really know how long it’ll take. I’ve done some drawings in a few hours, whereas others took a few weeks. It all depends.
Now, I can work in either pencil or charcoal; with pencil you’ll be getting more defined, crisp pictures, and with charcoal, there will be a lot of shading and it’ll be a little fuzzy—you CAN NOT touch the charcoal drawings! They will smudge and BADLY, and I will not be held responsible for your mishandling of the art. I’m putting this in as a warning, because if you’ve got little kids who’ll try and touch it, then either don’t choose charcoal or have it framed immediately. Pencil does smudge, but not nearly as badly as charcoal…and definitely don’t let the charcoal drawings brush against any expensive or light colored cloth, because I don’t think it’ll come out.
Charcoal will be priced a bit higher because good-quality charcoal pencils are kinda expensive, and they’re difficult to work with at times. I may refuse to do certain commissions in charcoal because of the level of detail they will require, which I might not be able to achieve with charcoal.
Sizes Available:
11’’x9’’ – Starts at $10 for a pencil sketch, $15 charcoal
9’’x12’’ – Starts at $15 pencil sketch, $20 charcoal
14’’x17’’ – Starts at $25 pencil sketch, $30 charcoal
Please note that prices are subject to change; if the picture is particularly complex or difficult, or if you want a background, the price will increase because of the increased time and effort I’ll be spending on it.
I am able to do acrylic paintings, provided that the picture(s) you provide are not sent via email (I don’t want to risk damaging my computer by trying to paint while looking at the screen!) and note that this will be both more expensive and take longer. I may refuse some requests because I feel that they are beyond my current level of skill, and I ask that you please be understanding if I refuse your commission. Please include what you want the background to look like in your request; if none is specified then I will choose a solid background color which you may or may not like, and which I will be unable to change once the painting is completed. No additional charges will apply for color backgrounds, however if you request scenery I will charge a bit more, because trust me when I say that it takes hours just to do the background on even a small painting.
Sizes Available:
9’’x12’’ – Starts at $35 for a solid background and $45 for a scenery
11’’x14’’ – Starts at $45 for a solid background and $55 for scenery
The prices for the paintings are high, but paint and canvasboard—which is what I will be using unless you request a stretched canvas—are expensive. I will go out and purchase a custom size stretched canvas if you wish, but the cost will be added into the price for the painting.

As a note, this was done on brown construction paper; I had to edit the picture to make the brown lighter and then up the contrast so that you could see the black ink. The photo is otherwise unedited.
Some of these photos were changed to black and white and had the contrasts upped so that you could clearly see the lines, because my camera isn’t very good at taking quality pictures of drawings.
Important! Please read:
No drawing or painting will be mailed before I receive payment in full, and while drawings may be returned for a full refund if they are mailed back within 3 days of receiving the package, and you may withdraw from a purchase of a drawing at any point before I mail it, you may not do so with paintings. Paintings are much more labor intensive, and as such if I have completed more than half the painting before you withdraw your order it will not be refundable. I’m sorry for this, but it really does take far too much time and effort for me to complete a painting on commission and then have the buyer back out.
Above are the examples of my work. The pictures themselves are of low quality because my scanner is currently broken, and I had to take photos of the drawings and painting with my digital camera! Note that although there are no drawings of solitary animals included, or any reptiles or reptilian people, I have full confidence that you will not be disappointed by your commissions in that regards; I have completed three reptile people and multiple snakes and lizards. I just wanted to tell you that I take great care in ensuring that each of my works are done with care and attention to detail, down to the last scale, in the effort to make the works as realistic and aesthetically pleasing as possible.
Please PM me or email me at Seneschal13@yahoo.com for more information and to place an order.
Thank you for your time and I look forward to doing business with you!
