    My Introduction

Well, I just signed up here, looks like a busy place. I thought I'd drop an introduction.

I'm Justin and this is Monty... the Python... of course:

He's a little over a year old and is about 2 feet long (give or take).

    Here's my setup:

To save you the trouble of asking, the second lamp is just for light. It's a 20 watt and gives off barely any heat.

Let me know what you think.

Thanks ahead of time and I look forward to meeting all of you!

    Hi!

Its a nice snake although I've never seen one with that much hair. Oh wait...never mind...

I've got a boy thats about the same size that I've had for about 5 mos. It's been fun learning all about him.

    Haha.

That's a nice looking boy. Are the white pattern borders towards his stomach really that pronounced or is that just the effect of the flash on the camera?

    Thanks for welcome!

Hi Justin, and welcome! Very nice looking snake, and cool setup.
I'm a huge fan of the Python boys, so that name always makes me smile

The camera does make the whites look very bright. But, looking at him now he does have a very distinct white outline that comes up around each "alien head".

Yours looks very shiny and richly colored.

    Re: My Introduction

You might give him a place to hide on the cool side. With that peice of wood you might be able to rig up a long, skinny hide that has a temperate gradient inside of it. I've had some success with that.
