    BP hasn't moved

My BP has been under his hide for 2 days now. He is generally a pretty active snake, especially at night. However, he hasn't moved in 2 days. I don't want to move him myself, as I assume (or at least hope) there's a perfectly logical explanation as to his behavior. He also hasn't eaten in about six weeks, which I know is perfectly normal behavior. I don't know though, if something else is going on and the two behavior changes are symptoms of a bigger problem.

    Thanks,
    JP

I would take a look at your husbandry and make sure its up to par. Also maybe he is going into his shed cycle... He is probably active at night when your asleep though, he is a nocturnal animal....

Thats a very good point juddb.
My snake never came out and then I bought some "digital thermostats" and realized it was WAY to hot...I corrected it! Now and then I see her out but not very often at all. Maybe once a month I might catch her with her head out.
But I sleep a lot so she probably moves when I'm sleeping.
But at least she is eating again.

But that was my problem. U should check that out JayP.
Friendship is like peeing on yourself: everyone can see it, but only you get the warm feeling that it brings.

Why is it called 'after dark' when it really is 'after light'?

yea if the hide is too hot they'll come out alot to cool off.

Also, mine will hole up for 7-10 days for a shed and even gets less active when his tail is getting ripe

    My snake doesn't do anything.
He stays in his hide, comes out to eat, comes out to crap. Then he goes back. Doesn't sound too out of the ordinary, so long as his home's setup ok; they aren't really active snakes.

Yeah, I have to agree with Juddb. My BP is usually very active and explores a lot at night... EXCEPT... right before his shed. Are his colors dulling or eyes clouding over? Of course that's a good sign of an upcoming shed. Right before the shed, I've noticed, my BP clears up and starts to look normal... and then BAM!
I don't know if that would corrolate with not eating for a month and a half.

If your BP doesn't shed or eat for a week, let me know. PM or Email me!!!
    :end transmission:

You're lucky. Mine just wets the bed.

Yeah, I'm guessing that this might be a shed. Just keep an eye out.
