Jungle Carpet question

I'm so excited....tomorrow I pay off my the rest of my deposit for my jungle carpet and get it on thursday morning.

So other than a hang bar in the middle I need a water bowl and newspaper as a substrate but how much news paper?

and I'll be getting a yearling so if he bites me do i just sit there and wait for him to release my arm or do do i have to gently remove him off my arm? if he bites me is he gonna strike than let go? or bite and wrap around? IF he wraps around i was taught to gently/ firmly start unwrapping it by the tail correct?

I heard that if you dip a snake's head in water (not sure if its warm or cold) they will let go. or if you pour a VERY small amount of alcohol (the kind you drink) down their throat they will let go

An arboreal perch is not necessary but very much appreciated by your new captive. As far as newspaper goes, a layer or two is fine. How do you plan to heat the cage?

It is best to unwrap them by working your spare hand around what they have wrapped to loosen them instead of by the tail. If by chance they do bite and hold down, you can run their head under cold or WARM water. Drinking alcohol will work but I would use this as a last resort.

Do you have it backed up by a thermostat??? Or a rheostat??
Will the snake be able to come into contact with it?
These can get very hot, very quick. I clocked one at over 130F within a few minutes.

No it will be on the outside top of the tank on the lid. and I have a thermostat available

Hi, it's Thursday night now where are the photos? Michael is very experienced so any advice he gives should work. Hopefully the place your getting your snake from has some good advise also.
