Re: what would you like to be known for?
Honesty! I have very few friends due to the fact that I find very few people that can be honest about stuff, especially theirselves. We all have faults that we find hard to own up to. But sometimes the most refreshing thing I can do for myself is take a long deep look at myself and say "I could have done that differently". As long as you can honestly look at yourself, you shouldn't have too many regrets in life.

Re: what would you like to be known for?
Probably the one I depend upon the most and pass along to my kids, my friends, is "consider the source". We spend so much of our lives worried about what others say, or reacting to what's said to us, following someone else's direction or idea of who we are, what we should be doing, etc.
At some point, I think we need to take that in but "consider the source" before we react. When I started to do this in my own life I found a lot of freedom. Now I'll take someone's wisdom or even a mean comment but I'll balance it off with what I know of the "source", what motivation they might have, what experience they do or don't have, even why this specific person said this specific thing (their motivation perhaps) and then go from there.

Re: what would you like to be known for?
i guess mine would have to be "life's too short to beat around the bush." too many people don't say what they want to or should. if somebody has a problem with me, i'd rather hear about it then notice they're acting differently towards me and then beat myself up trying to figure out why. more people need to come forward with their thoughts/opinions. obviously there are some exceptions to the rule but for the mostpart....

Re: what would you like to be known for?
I also do not really have a lot of friends outside of my family. With three teenagers, a terminally ill husband and living and taking care of my elderly in laws alot of people don't stick around to listen to me complain about my life. Hmmph imagine that lol Anyways I have one quote that I just adore
" To the whole world you may be just one person, but to one person you may be the whole world"

Re: what would you like to be known for?
I think mine would have to be one of these:
"There's people and there's sheeple, which one are you?"
"If you have to intoxicate yourself in order to feel good or have a good time...you need a shrink, not a drink."
"If you don't want people to call you a sl*t then stop dressing like one."

Re: what would you like to be known for?
Especially lately, I've been saying "Focus on what you can do, instead of what you can't." It helps me through a lot of drama, and if it can help others all the better.

Re: what would you like to be known for?
"You have to go out and make things happen, instead of waiting for them to happen to you."
I was always looking for signs, etc. in life. Now I know that it is me who makes things happen, but some unseen hand or some concept of fate. I choose whether I leave the house in the morning or bury myself into my blankets and hide from the world.
I used to dread leaving the house.. I dropped out of high school because of it. I have come so far since then; once I learned that you have to work to live. I started out slow and now have a great job and my fiancee and I want to buy or start a tattoo business in the next few years. We went from being dirt-broke and in bad debt, to now, where we are getting by with some to save, and building our credit.. yay!

Re: what would you like to be known for?
I, too, value time very much. I love every moment I spend with those I trust and love. I'd rather have someone make me something special, than have them go buy something that won't be as special. Material things matter little to me. I get gifts, and I do like them, but I cherish moments spent together much more.
One thing I always find myself saying is, "Never take anything for granted." That's something I wouldn't mind being remembered for. I say it to friends, family...think it to myself when I see a child or adult acting selfish. I've lost many things in my life due to never fully acknowledging them. I'd act like they were of little importance, but once they left my life I regretted what I'd done and wished I'd spent more time on them. I try never to take anything for granted, anymore.
I also do not have many friends due to how honest I am. I really like having a small group of friends I know I can trust, though. Those that can accept me for who I am, I admire. I treasure my family, my boyfriend/soulmate and my small handful of friends.
I just try to always enjoy life, show those I care about how much I cherish them, and always be honest with everyone and treat everyone as equal as possible, without judging quickly. I hope I'm remembered for all that.
