    Vision Racks

Vision CB-70 - How do members like these?

Where can you find the cheapest prices on them?

    Re: Vision Racks

I've got one. It's a nice rack. There are a few things I don't like about it. I don't like the open sides. However you can fill those in by sliding pieces of posterboard that have been cut to size into the supplied slots on the edges of each level, however it's kind of a pain to do that though. Also, I've had mine for over a year and it's started to lean a little bit to the side which is causing the tubs to bind. Other then that it's been fine. And the price is really good compaired to other racks, you can probably get the best price by buying direct.

i checked them out in daytona, i didn't like them much. the design was flimsy. i think they may have changed the design since then. i've heard a few complaints on the heat rope also.

i prefer plastic racks right now, in the future i may switch to the freedom breeder compact racks.

I second that. Total crap in my opinion. They wobble like my mother after 2 drinks.

    Jamie, You are bad!!!

I have one, I don't mind it, but it is not my favorite rack by any means.

It does the job, I've had mine for a year, and have had no problems with leaning, so...

If it fits your budget and you need it desperately, go for it! If not, I would look around a bit more.

    Re: Vision Racks

Just got one in a few weeks ago. I second the wobbly part, but really, who is gonna shake the rack? It's not goin anywhere. It's not gonna fall over. It has some pretty solid poles that keep it together. It has 3 locking wheels to keep it from rolling anywhere (useful if you have wooden or hard floors)

I don't like the open sides. However you can fill those in by sliding pieces of posterboard that have been cut to size into the supplied slots on the edges of each level, however it's kind of a pain to do that though.
My rack came with 24 plastic inserts, 2 per side to guide the tub.

The heat rope is....different..but i'm beginning to like it.
To really heat the way I wanted it heated, i would need 100 feet of heat rope. the CB-70 comes with 50. Right now, i'm only housing 7 snakes in it so what I have is sufficient.

IMO, it's a good rack. It's no freedom breeder or high dollar rack, but it does the job if you're tight on money. I know I am, and I feel like I got my money's worth.

    Re: Vision Racks

I have 2 off them and yes they are not as sturdy as other heavier racks so I guess if you have kids or big animals running in the house you might want to be careful.

I chose those because they are lightweight and I wanted to be able to get something that was easy to put together and move around by myself.

The down side to me is that do not come with enough heat in my opinion and if you order one keep that in mind and order additional heat rope.

As far as open side I don’t mind it, and it is not a problem for me as far as keeping proper temps as they are placed in my herp room where the temp is 82-84.

So it really depends on what you are looking for in a rack.
