    Hides!

well, the hides I received free of charge with my 2 BPs are log ones and I know that they aren't ideal for them and I only want the best so I decided on this

but does anyone know what size is suitable? they have small medium or large. The snakes are around 3 feet as far as I know. I was just wondering if anyone else uses these and knows which size is best

    Re: Hides!

I just bought 3 of those at a reptile show to try out. I purchased the medium size for my 500 - 600 gram yearlings. They seem to like it - a bit too big right now, but I hope they'll grow into them in a very short time. If your 3 ft snake has some girth, the large might be your best bet. Balls do like their hides small of they are tight around their bodies.

I do use the plastic bottoms of flower pots after I cut a hole in the side. They seem to be getting harder and harder to find though. I've tried old cereal boxes in a pinch, but one pee and those turn to mush.

Good luck with whatever you decide!

I use the small for 0-400 grams
    the med for 500-1000
for my adults I use the exo terra cave kind they are heavier and offer more security for the snake
