    need help figuring somethin out

    Since you guys and gals are bein so nice and helping I have another question.

    I have a black phosphorus light I use to warm the 10 gallon tank I own. Evidently, its gettin his hide too hot because sometimes the probe in his heat side hide reads 90 and up
    1 Male Normal BPython, Dartanian
    2 Female cats, Tre and Spunky
    1 Male cat, Dresden
    3 Female dogs Rags, Doodlebug, and Sheba

    The temp needs to be 90ish,so is that your question? What is the exact temp reading at?

    Well the probe under his hut gets upto as hih as 100 or 99! He seems comfortable and loves being that warm but im worried ill kill him i was wondering if setting the light up on books away from the cage or something miht make the light still warm the cage but not burn him up, its gets COLD at niht where hes at

    Is the probe setting on top of a heat matt also? That temp sounds really high.I would like to know what is the wattage of the bulb?

    yea its sitting on there, ill haveta look at the bulb later its hot lol

    ok so you have the probe setting on top of a heat pad plus this light over head? If so turn that light off as the heat matt should provide enough heat.
