    Smile New owner

Hello, my name is Sheila, I'm 17, and I just bought a leopard gecko for the first time. I was wondering if any of yall could give me an estimate of how old she(I'm pretty sure it's a girl judging from pictures of male and female geckos) is. PetCo had her labeled as a baby, though.

    I'd say she's about 3 1/2 inches long.

    Thanks in advance.

she's cute! size-wise she looks about 2-3 months old (rough estimate) but her color looks a little older (based on the fact that she doesn't have any black spots left). she might just need a little fattening up.

Yeah, all the leopard geckos were pretty skinny, so I tried to pick out the fattest one, but she still seems real tiny. I've only seen her eat one cricket since I got her today, though. I bought the "Can O' Crickets" because I don't have a lid for my tank.. do you think maybe she would eat more if I fed her live mealworms/crickets?

definitely feed her live insects. she'll probably chow on some live crickets and mealworms.
