    Bought this Hide

Never really had one before. I know. It's bad but since joining the board I have learned alot. Which is good.

I put it in yesterday and it took him a while to find the whole. Then his fat ass took a bit to squeeze in.

Stay in there all day my fiance said and when I came home at 12am he came out.

I woke up this morning and he was in there and came out but then I noticed when he went in he did it much quicker so which means that he prob got used to getting in there.

O, the size was the biggest they make too.

One question to the people that have hides.

Do the bp's tend to stay in there alot and become none visable most the time?

So you mean that it's better if they are a bit snug in there?

Cause at first I was like "o sh*t, it's too small".

Glad he likes it they tend to outgrow anything you can readily buy and end up under upturned kitty litter trays but I always think those hides look great in a tank.

Do you have one the same on the other side? It's just to stop them having to choose between security and temps.

That is really not a bad hide. I have two similar ones that came with my corn snake, and I like hiw the insides are ripply and have bumps that they can squish themselevs into.

Yup the more snug the better, it will feel more secure which could lead it to be a much better eater for you.

    Good stuff.

    The thing is....

When I feed him, should I take the hide out? Or just put the live food in there?

    Re: Bought this Hide

Just put the live food in there. Bp's feel secure being able to ambush their prey from in there hide. If the snake is in the hide just drop the prey in and if the bp is hungry he will take care of the rest.

    Whichever works for the snake...
Of the 11 in my house, all but one hunt from their hides. With Christie, my son's girl, I have to take out the hides or she won't eat.

    Re: Bought this Hide

    Well. Great news.

I fed him on Saturday a mouse.

The mouse was in there poking around for like 10 mins and my bp slowly put his head out of the hide and the BANG! Slammed it.

    So much better.

More exciting to me as a spectactor and probably more exciting for my buddy.
