feeding question
so i've had my baby BP for a little over a week now.
it was raised eating live mice, but i feed my corns frozen mice and they have never had a problem with it.
i tried feeding my BP yesterday and it wasn't interested in the thawed mouse at all. i know its still early, and the snake could still be uncomfortable, but i haven't had a snake thats refused food before, unless it was going to moult, so i'm just a little worried.
since it was raised eating live mice would it be a good idea if i tried offering it one next time i feed? i would feel horrible feeding a live mouse, but if it would make the snake more comfortable i would do it.
any ideas?

Re: feeding question
I just fed mine a live mouse and took it fine, as far as f/t how are you presenting it to him? just tossing it in and leaving it? I think if you do more of a dance *with the mouse* for him it will seem more pleasing.

Re: feeding question
With new addition you need to be patient, he did not eat, it’s ok don’t worry about it and try again in a week from the time he refused.
In the mean time make sure your setup is perfect temps (80-84 and 90-94), hides (tight and identical), size of the enclosure (not too big) etc. Also limit you handling until you have at least one or two successful feeding (I know it’s hard).
Now my : What I do with new addition is that I feed them exactly whatever they were fed while in the care of the breeder and I do this for at least 3 to 4 weeks, to keep at least on thing consistent, only after those 3 to 4 successful feeding do I attempt to switch to F/T.
Keep in mind not all switch to F/T and some do but it take a long time.

i tried just putting in his cage at first, then after nothing happened i tried moving it a little by its tail so maybe it would get interested in it but nothing happened so i just left the snake alone and fed the mouse to my king

thank you for your reply.
i have all the temps. right, she moves back and fourth from the hot side to the cool side at night, thats the only time she comes out. she has hides on both sides and i covred 3 sides of the tank with cardboard so she doesn't feel so out in the open.
i haven't been handling it at all, and it is hard! shes adorable but i didn't think it would be a good idea since she just got here.
so when i get a feeder mouse i just put in in there with her? if she doesn't eat it right away how long should i wait until i take it out?
hah, i feel if she doesn't eat it right away i'll get attached to it and keep it.
