Switching back to Newspaper

I originally had Zim on newspaper when I first got her, but switched to Bed-a-Beast because she liked to get under the substrate. Well its a pain to clean so I'm thinking of switching her back over to newspaper. The only problem is she LOVES to get under the dirt and roam around. Should I make the switch?

Well mine seem to be able to find their way under the newspaper and do the same so I can't see any reason why not.

Well I made the switch. The tank definatly looks neater and will be so easy to clean now. Gave it a good wipe down with cleaner. Zim is back in the tank and is checking everything out. I think she's thinking "Where did all my lovely dirt go? Where is my dirt!?"

You could always make a hide out of a box and put some substrate in it, high enough that it won't just all fall out when she climbs in it. That way you can just dump the little box out each time.

Good idea. I'll do that tomorrow when I have some time. I have some left over dirt from cleaning out the tank. I'm going to soak it and 'clean' it.

I use aspen and my corn and king LOVE to make tunnels through it all and poke their head out at different spots in their cages. I am trying newspaper for my BP because he only used to push the aspen out of the way anyways.

My corns love the aspen bedding, cruising around under it, making tunnels. They poke their little heads out like little periscope. Its SO cute.
Sorry, I had a girly moment there for a second.
