Re: How to kill mites with PAM
Just to clarify - we are talking about Provent-A-Mite and not the cooking spray, correct?
Yes, treat the enclosure, not the snake - once the enclosure is completely dry and you put the snake in with it's substrate, etc - the mites will eventually all die (within a day or two).

Ummmmm, the label of the Provent-A-Mite can says NOT to use it on an empty cage container, but to spray it in the substrate. That's how I use it, but I'm never sure how long I have to wait until it's dry, so I'm usu. waiting about 5-10 min before I put the snake back in...just to be safe.

Re: How to kill mites with PAM
I used it just like the directions stated, and it took almost all day for the fumes to fully clear. Also, why did you spray the bare cage? The directions make it clear to NOT do that?
Empty tank, wash it down really good, dray it out, put substrate in, spray it down like it says, and wait till you cant smell it anymore, I was sticking my head in his tank and taking huge wiffs of air, if i smelled any PAM, I let it sit more, took almost all day befor all I smelled was the aspen. Put everything back in, and rock'n'roll.

um, i use newspaper so what would be the point of putting them back in old newpaper? and nowhare on the bottle does it say not to spray on a bare tank. and also, i did it outside for an hour and the wind blowing pretty hard so it was dry after like 10 min but i waited an hour.
