is 55 too big for a 6ft ball?

i was told that width plus length creates the largest amount your snake could be. So could a 6ft (72 inches) ball python live in a 55 gallon because that would be 61 inches if width(13") plus length(48")? because that seems big. She is getting to about 5'7-9" so yeah.

is it kinda like the rule of one inch of fish per gallon in regards to fish, where there are some exceptions?

And also this is just a question thats kinda random, how big of a tank do burmese pythons require. I figure custom made but what size lengthxwidthxheight

You have a 6ft Ball python? Pardon my sceptisism (spelling?) but that seems a little off. I could be wrong however. If it is 6ft i am amazed , I would love to see a picture.

Yeah... balls and burms are entirely different snakes. I think if it's burm we're talking about, that size tank would be fine.

for a full grown female burm that would be small if fact i think it would even be small for a full grown male.

IMO the tank is to narrow I personally would go with at least a 18" wide enclosure.

For a burm 8'x4'x2' should be fine for a female.

It seems to me that he is, in fact, asking about a BP that is "getting to about 5'7"-9".

When he asks about Burms and their tank requirements, he calls it "random", meaning that it's off the topic that he's posting about

And an edit: I think that I mis-read based on other mis-readings what people were assuming about his post. Forgive me if that's the case!
