Acu-rite in Canada?

Does anyone here know if the Acu-rite digital thermometer/hygrometer is available in Canada? I can't find it at any Walmart here. I could order it online but by the time shipping costs are factored in I might as well buy something from the local pet store. I have one made by Zilla (sp?) that I got locally but it wasn't cheap. I want another one to keep on the cool side of the tank but since I don't need it, I can't justify spending too much.

i found mine on sale at Canadian tire about 3 months ago but the one i bought didnt show both the in and the out temp at the same time(theirs a switch on the back) so i bought a second one that just shows temp. I have seen them at Walmart just not that exact same one.

Thanks, I already had a look on their website. I hit up a Rona, Zellers and Home Hardware after work today but had no luck finding the model that I want. The ones I found that were similar weren't exactly cheap so maybe the pet store ones aren't such a bad deal around here.

you can't get the accu-rite up here in canada... lord knows i've tried.

But you can get accu-temp which is the same thing and some look exactly like an accu-rite. Find them at Canadian tire, Walmart, and Zellers

Remember too even if the store doesn't have any in stock but are listed by the manufacturer as a retailer, you can always ask the store manager to order it in for you. As well you can contact the manufacturer, explain that your local retailer does not carry them and see if they will do direct sales to the public.
