    Depth of Substrate?

I have an under the tank heating pad and I'm using "Coco Soft", a coconut husk based substrate. About how deep should I make the substrate without sacrificing heat that's available to my snake?

    Re: Depth of Substrate?

Personally, I'd keep it at a 1/4 inch or so. The substrate is just there to absorb waste, so it doesn't have to be deep and "cushiony" or anything.
