    new adoptionsi just picked up 2 new gerbils

    just added to the lil ol family 2 new gerbils, oreo and nutterbutter. they were adopted at a local petco. i went in to buy mice for my ball python and saw these litter guys had had to get them. not for food or course. i read alittle about there care on the internet, but if anyone can throw in some tips i would appreciate it. i will post pictures tomorrow.

    I love gerbils! My staff think they are creepy, but I like their creepiness.
    I don't know too much about them, but the main arguement among people is whether they smell or not. Some people say they don't smell and some people say they smell worse than hamsters. I say it's all relative to your particular sense of smell and how clean the cage is.

    I'd like to have some one day, but decided to forego keeping anymore live rodents in the house when I got into snakes. Plus, I'm allergic to dust so hubby has to clean any of the rodents I ever had and that wasn't fair to him. Some day!
