Just thought I would share a pic of my setup to see what you all think. RHP's kick A$

Not a very exciting thread but I thought I would share a pic of my new BP's home. This cage was built by NERD and I was lucky enough to snag it while up at NERD getting setup for my new snake. When I first set the cage up I was using a 50 gal sized UTH hooked up to a thermostat. I was getting the proper 90-92 hot side temp but my ambient temps would jump between 74-78 which made me a bit nervous. After talking with Kara of NERD and doing some research I decided to add a RHP to the cage. The RHP I bought was actually a size smaller than what Bob at Pro-Products suggested to heat the entire cage by itself because I was planning to use it just raise my ambient temps a few degrees while still using my UTH for the basking spot. After some experimenting I was able to use just the RHP to get 90-91 / 80-81 temps which is exactly what I wanted.

All I can say is that these RHP's are great and much more effecient than running a UTH. They seem to heat the entire cage as apposed to just the floor of the basking area which does nothing for ambient temps. I will be adding my second snake and cage soon and I will without a doubt be heating it with a RHP from Pro-Procusts.

Anyone else using these around here?

Radiant Heat Panels are awesome! I have checked them out and if I had the need would be all over them.

I just ordered a boaphile with a RHP- can't wait to get it. Glad to hear that you are happy with it, as I hadn't heard much about them.

They are great for sure. One of the best things about them is the fact they don't suck the humidty out of the enclosure. That was my first concern but sure enough my humidty sits at about 50% consistently.

That was one of the selling points for me, no more spray bottles!

I use them for my larger boids such as the AfRocks, Retics, etc. I love them. They keep the cage temps precise.
