coco coir ?

My snake cannot become compacted if he accidentally ingests some coco fibers right? I am pretty sure i have heard that it is ok for them to ingest it without problems, but i searched and could not find either or. Can someone verify this for me?

you mean coco shavings like peat moss? it's not too much of a problem if they ingest a little bit of it.too much and they can become impacted by it.

A little shouldn't cause impaction. Too much could indeed cause problems but the stuff passes through pretty easily.

Bahaha, no wonder my searches weren't showing anything.

Usually ari is fed over a piece of cardboard so it is not a problem, but i noticed that he ate a little this time. Thanks for the responses, im gonna go stick my head in the trash impactor, i mean compactor now.

LOLOL No your baby will be fine...they digest bones and fur...and I am sure BP's in the wild ingest some sand..grass..and twigs ever so often
