Traveling ball

I'm heading home from college at the end of the week. I'll be home for about a month and then I'll be coming back to take clasess over the summer. Given that I'll be gone for so long and that gas costs a fortune (going back and forth isn't an option) I'll need to take my BP home with me. So, how do I do it?

She's in a glass tank setup. Should I toss her in a pillow case and put her on the passenger seat? Leave her in her tank and toss a blanket over it so the sun doesn't beat in? AC on, AC off? It's only a two hour drive but I want to transport her the most stress-free way possible since she'll be doing it again it 3-4 weeks. Any ideas/experiences would help. Thanks.

I transport using styrofoam fish tub thingies with the lid. The proper name escapes me. Crumple up some newspapers and put the snakes in escape proof bags with newspaper inside. Because the weather is so crappy here I usually have a smaller heat pack (6 hour) taped inside to where the snake cannot reach. I know how you feel, I had to make the 4 hour drive home with Chimera and Kozma numerous times Hope this helps!

I am in the same boat and I have already traveled with mine once over christmas. I have a snake bag, really just a pillow case, that I put him in the inside a small bucket that I came across that I put some holes in for ventilation. Filled the bottom with newspaper then but the snake in the bag and put him in, then a pit more crumpled paper and taped a hand warmer on top, since it was winter. I also used one of my small digital thermometers to make sure the temps in there never dipped below about 80, snake did fine and ate the next day. I plan on doing the same in about a week.
It really shouldnt be a problem, just think about all the snakes that are shipped everyday without any problems.

I do it all the time 4 hour drive from FSU to Orlando. I just empty the water to a minimum put the tank in the back seat because it takes up the whole back seat. And just drive with A/C or windows down on the front windows. THe tank wont shake as much if it is directly on the seat. My snake doesnt seem to mind usually just chills in his hide the whole ride.

When I took my girl home I just took a bag (kinda like a pillow case, but it had drawstrings) and put crumpled up newspaper in it as well as one of her hides so something would be at least a bit familar. I laid the bag in my seat (I have a bench seat in my truck) and she seemed to travel pretty well. She stayed in her hide the whole time.
