    Georgia Aquarium Pictures - DUW

Well, FINALLY, after the aquarium has been here a year and a half, we finally made it yesterday - thanks to my company, who was selling tickets for $10 each (normally $24 each) for our annual Sprint for Cancer fundraiser. Here are some pictures from yesterday!

    Hammerhead

This picture was to give perspective to this huge wall where people were looking at the Whale Sharks:

    Whale Sharks

    Stingrays

    River Fish

    Penguins

    Garden Eels

    My favorites -the jellyfish

    Karl in the tunnel

and in front of a display I don't remember! LOL

    Awesome pictures, Robin!!

The jellyfish are beautiful! And those "garden eels" are just so....well....they look like something out of a Dr. Seuss book! VERY cool!!!

And Karl looks handsome as ever!

Great pictures! I'll have to make a trip to see the aquarium in person.

Correction on your "River Fish" picture...

They are a mixture of rift lake cichlids from Lake Malawi in Africa. It looks mainly like large groups of mbuna and a few Malawi haps(Red Empress to be exact...lol), and I think I see a peacock in there.

<Just me being a fish nerd.

I would love to see more of their reef display if you have pictures!

I love aquariums! I am a fish lover before anything else (except maybe the cats). Looks like a good time! I thought Karl was Asian though????

Jason - you are probably correct - but they had them at the entrance of the River Scout exhibit - they were pretty nonetheless!

Kim, the sad thing was - we were through half the exhibits before I finally figured how to set the ISO speed to HI in order to take better pictures that weren't blurs of fish going by. Sadly, the beluga whale pictures were too blurry

Karl says thank you, thank you!

The garden eels were really cool, I kept thinking of how they looked like a lot of different "morphs"! I wanted to take one home!
