    Aspen?

Do aspen shavings have a ton more humidity holding power than the coconut bark stuff? I just cleaned the tank and went from reptibark to aspen shavings. The humidity was like 48-55% now it's 65-70%. It's only been an hour or so since I put it back together so maybe it'll come back down.

Any down sides to having humidity that high? I think he's about to shed again anyway so at least it will be good for now.

It will come down in a few days. I have been using Aspen for a while and it seems to take about 2-3 days to get down to 50-60%...at least for me .

think they say for shedding you go 70-80% and normal everyday living is 55-65%, of course, it also depends on who is telling you the info. I like to keep mine around 60-65%
