I recently got into poetry a bit. We are working on an assignment for drama and I have decided I really like writing poetry. I think of it as a good way to get whats bothering you off your chest without sounding whiney.

Heres my latest that dicusses the main stereotypes we hear of at school that I call Who am I? What inspired me to write this was all the stereotypes I have heard and all the groups people are classified into.

Who am I?

Skinny or Fat

White or Black

What does that matter, any more than how I act?

He must be this, He must be that

I only say this because of how he acts

Is he emo or maybe prep? Maybe hes neither, maybe just ghetto

Must not be emo, he aint depressed

Is he over Dressed?

Oh that could only be
He's a prep

Wait that’s not Ralph Lauren I see

So that leaves ghetto, ya that must be me

But wait why can’t I just be me?

I’m me nothing else

Can’t you see?

]I don’t like being classified as neither one of these
That just leaves me

Ya that’s right

I’m only me!!!!
