Man Oh Man How Often Do These Guys Shed?

Nugget just shed AGAIN... he has been refusing food often, but after his last shed last month LITERALLY I fed him three mouse fuzzies (they were really little like pinkies though) He won't eat the rat pinkies I got for him the last 2 weeks in a row... which is awesome because I traveled a long way to get them... Nag wouldn't eat his rat pups either, but he's back on feed eating mice again... Nugget will be offered mouse babies again soon... Sister is still working on his temps after having her lamp go out... but she bought a rheostat so that she wouldn't cook Nugget anymore...

What's normal for these little Corns? Nugget is a Summer 06 baby...

They grow fast. I think monthly shedding for a corn that size is normal.

It sure makes it hard to feed him regularly, since he tends to refuse around sheds... he's worse than the ball python as far as refusing...

My gopher snake is/was like that, too. For a long time he'd only eat every 3-4 weeks....now he's eating every two weeks like clockwork...unless he's in shed. But he's pretty much reached his mature size so he doesn't shed quite so often anymore. Still...depsite being a picky, sporatic eater, he's very healthy...maybe more so than a snake that gets over fed.

I don't know about one that size, but Zim's sheds have been quite unpredictable. He shed 12/17/06, 2/1/07, and more recently 4/22/07. No real schedule there.
    Under Construction.....
