    Treating Cage Stuff

Hey Gang...As you may recall I built a rack for most of my snakes...but now have decided I want a show piece so I am building a "display" cage.

It will be 36" x 24" x16" - with cypress as the bedding.

I want to make it as realistic as possible - but still cleanable. I plan to add some rock and wood hides along with wood climbing branches (I will use fake plants for cover). We have a river near by that I plan to go collecting at to get some nice drift wood pieces and flat rocks...what is the best way to "treat" these so they are usable in a cage?

    Thanks
    Sean

Rocks can be scrubbed with soap and hot water, but wood should be baked in order to kill anything living inside or in any cracks/crevices. I usually bake mine at 200F for 20 minutes.

Cool...I was hoping it was that simple. I will post a pic when I am done.

    Thanks
