    bedding help

    how many of you use aspen for bedding and is it much easier to clean

    i use it, and it clumps together pretty well. it's kinda hard to tell if something is soiled, but it looks darker than the rest of it. i just use a plastic spoon and some newspaper and throw it in the trash. but if you leave it wet for too long it can mold, but i've never had that happen because i usually get to it pretty quick. so, overall, i'd say it's pretty easy to clean and change out. but that also depends on what kind of a tank/tub you have...

    I used to use aspen. Now, I'm all about newspaper. It's just so much easier, and it doesn't trap the heat. (so no fluffing - the aspen)

    i used aspen but i think im gonna switch to newspaper because i don't really like the ldea of my guy eating the stuff when it gets on his mouse

    yeah i have that problem with her eating the stuff, but it isn't harmful to them, so it's not a huge deal. just a little nasty wood along with that delicious mouse!

    I use aspen in some of my tubs, but papertowels for the rest.


    Aspen is a lot easier to spot clean, but paper is easier to clean up the entire thing to switch out....

    It depends on what you want to do for your snakes.
