First handling session Sucessful!

Today I finally Picked up Venus my Bp. At first he was kinda hissing and making this baby type noise but i still picked him up. After i picked him up i held him for like 30 seconds and put him on my bed. He was a brave ol soul and so curious, after putting him on my bed i beggin rubbing him and picking him up as he ran through my fingers he kinda was all ova the place. I am so happy to pick him up tomorrow because he was so nice,

just be careful you may mistake curiousity for stress. (i know how hard it is to not pick them up though i have to handle both of my babies everyday.one at a time of course.)

Well he wasn't balling up or striking at me just real curious what could be some signs of stress?

Sometimes with snakes signs of stress can be very subtle or take awhile to show something obvious. One of the most common signs of stress can be refusal to feed. This can be caused, however, by a lot of other factors but it's generally held that if your snake suddenly starts refusing, overhandling can be one of the issues. Every snake is different, just handle with respect for the fact that this is a shy, nocturnal and undomesticated creature. Handling is more about what we humans want more than what our snakes need.
