    Still acting same after treatment

Im almost done treating my bp for a supposive RI. I noticed her yawning a little more then usual and resting her head on stuff more then usual. Now that treatment is almost done she is doing all the same stuff still. When I brought her to the vet he didnt run any tests just gave me the shots because of the yawning. I almost think that she is perfectly fine and maybe never even had an RI. Im going to try to feed her on tuesday and see how things go. Ive never heard her breath and never seen any bubbles or mucus of any kind. When I think back she always rested her head on stuff in the tank, even when she was eating every week. Ive read a lot of places that some bps just yawn a lot and its not an RI. Do you guys have any input on the situation?

Hmm why did you assume she had to RI in the first place? Yawning means nothing, neither does resting her head. An Ball pythons are picky feeders in general, they can eat like a pig and then turn off for months, then kick back on like nothing.

    Definately find a different vet.

However yawning can be a sign of stress as well as an RI. Or a piece of substrate could have worked itself into an uncomfortable position in her mouth.

I assumed because of the yawning and posting on the site people made me feel that she did have a RI. I dont think anything is lodged in her mouth as I use paper towels for a substrate. The vet I went is very reputable in massachusetts as well as surrounding states. He checked her mouth and it was clear but he said that balls only yawn when around food and if she was yawning more then that then she probably has an RI. He defintely didnt swab her mouth or anything like that and test it in a lab, which I think he should of.
