I've been lurking these forums for over a year now, and posted for a while under a different name, just registered a new account so that all my logins are the same on the plethora of forums I use... Proud to finally introduce some photos of my favourite of my snakes. She's always been very curious and interested in what's going on around her. Without a doubt, she shows the most character of any of my herps.
So let's see.... Her name is Dahlia, and she's a fierce little bugger, gobblin' down large mice like it's her job. She has, thus far, been a terrific feeder since the day I got her (she was very young when I picked her up).
Anyhow - thought I'd snap some photos as my girlfriend got a new camera.(click for big!!)
About 3 seconds after I dangle Mr. Mouse in, he got snapped up. I walked to the kitchen to get a beer and throw some leftovers in the fridge, came back and she was well under way...
Closeups abound as she gets near the end...
I love how their scales look when the skin is stretched. Such incredible animals!
And, the tail slurp! She always seems so goofy at this stage of her feed.
And, finished with a true smile. She LOVES to eat!![]()
