    Tattoos!

Fiance just got a tat today. It was a DNA strand going up the leg. Very awsome. And that reminded me of the tats I still want to get.

The Dragon: This is one that I have wanted for years(7 to be exact). From the moment I decided I wanted it, I knew it was going to be on my back, though the concept of its exact placement has changed. Originally, I wanted a solid black tribal style dragon 'flying' on my back, with its wings spreading over my shoulder blades. Then I decided it would be cool to have it tattooed on my side with its head resting on my shoulder, its body along my side, and the tail going down my leg. Now the plan is the dragon will curve to look like its clinging to my back, head on shoulder with a curious look on its face. The wings will span the rest of my back and the tail will snake around to curl around my left hipbone. Not sure as to if I want color, keep it greyscale, or have it one big black peice. Overall, this will be my most expensive tattoo, the largest, and the most painful. (If anyone wants to take a crack at drawing it for me, feel free) I will be saving up for this for many years and will not get it until I've shed a few inches.

The Snake: As a tribute to my love of reptiles, I was wanting to get a snake somewhere. Probably my leg, wrapping around like my fiance's dna strand. As to what species and color, I don't know. I'm going to wait a few years before I decide. Get an idea, let it grow on me. It will probably end up being a corn snake, since Zim is my first snake. (Anyone feel up to drawing me a corn snake tattoo for a leg?)

My current tattoos are not as large or elaborate as the ones I want, but they all have meaning to me. My first ever was a few months after my 18th b-day. It is a wadjet eye, on my right ankle. It cost $70 and took around 40min to do. Its solid black. The meaning behind it is my love of Egyptology and how it was a child-hood dream of mine. It also symbolizes my love of ancient cultures. It is also a symbol of protection. My second was a year later. A cute, solid black cat on my left ankle. Price: $50. The meaning behind this is for my two cats and my love of all felines. My third and most recent I got in November. It is an equal sign, and stands for the equality of all people. Plain and simple, just as the tattoo is. It is just a black equal sign, just like you see in a math book, only thicker and bigger. It is positioned on my upper back, a few inches below my neck. Price: $40

Anyone else want to share the meaning behind tattoos they have or plan on getting?

    Re: Tattoos!

I plan on getting "vegetarian" across my upper back after my 18th birthday (this june)

"A=A" on my fore-arm which means you are who you are no matter what, so don't try to change your self to impress others.

and on my other fore-arm, a 50's style condenser microphone, with a treble clef behind it. Which has is an obvious meaning (my love for music) but I think i'll wait until after I graduate from full sail (audio school) for music production. to get that one..
