    Switching to pre-killed

And she didn't eat it! >_0 Now I have a leftover dead mouse. How long should I leave it in there before it starts to stink? Or should I put in the freezer?

You can leave it overnight, and see what happen, and if it is still there in the morning just dispose of it.

this is what i started doing and she hasn't missed a meal since.
i drop it in when i switch from day heat lamp to night heat lamp, and i position it under the lamp, and ontop of the heating pad so it stays warm.

oh, and before i drop it in (right after i've killed it) i kind of run it around the cage (not with my hand of course), making sure to lightly hit her hide with it so she knows its there and hopefully smells it.

    Re: Switching to pre-killed

LOL this happens alot. I hate it. I prekill all my snakes meals. My last wild cought male was a big pain. He never wanted to eat. always left his meals alone. Sometimes the best thing to do is put the dead mouse in the hide with the snake. By the next morning if they still havent touched it despose of it.

My new female didnt eat the 2nd day i bought her but my the boy ate. The rat pup was left there to until the next day. I gave her a break since shes new and had to acclimate to her tank. Yesterday she ate her first meal and I was happy. Sorry about the pointless reply.lol..I just wanted to share that this happens to all of us
