New pic of Moby
Here's a new pic of my burm, Moby. He's only about 11 1/2 feet, and growing nicely. I got him this past fall from an individual who had to sell him or lose his lease. Moby was 10 feet and a little thin when I got him. The previous owner was feeding live large rabbits once a month and no cage heat at all. I corrected the heat issue as soon as I got him home. I've got him on fresh prekill rabbits that weigh about 6 to 7 pounds every 2 weeks. I'm lucky that I have a rabbit breeder close to me that breeds his rabbits for the table, no worries about taking home somebodies pet rabbit.
I'll try to post some full body shots when I have my son to help me. Remember the rule "Never handle a large snake alone!!!"
BTW, Moby had his first perfect shed this past Sunday for the first time since I've had him.

Great burm. What is the enclosure like, as far as dimensions and setup?

Re: New pic of Moby
The enclosureis a 6'x31''x4'. I know it needs to be another 2' longer, but there's going to be a new one built as soon as I get the $$ and the time off from work. I'm using a Zoo Med 250 watt bulb for the heat with the temps monitored with an Accurite. Temps staying the 90's. I'm building my own temp controller that will keep temps vary stable. There alot of work I need to do to get an enclosure set up like I want it. The one I'm going to build will be 8'x31"x3' with custom temp controller, automated misting system, and some really good casters.
I know Moby with outgrow the planned enclosure too. Hopefully, not before my son goes to college. When he goes to college, my daughter will take over his room(where my skakes a kept), and her room will become Moby's room for the most part. Now that will an undertakig there, but I have an idea how to do it.

If he is male, then he might not grow that much more. Oh, and 8' x 3' (approx.) makes almost 24 square feet of ground space, which will suit a 24' snake. Right now, your 6' x 3' (approx.) floor area is almost 18 square feet and is plenty for a burm of that length .
