I haven't red it but was thinking about it. I'm cheap lol. If I catch it at the library I may get it. I also am not willing to shell out change on something that might not bee good :-p

I have read the first chapter... One of my friends/coworkers is pretty obsessed with it now. He almost only eats organic foods and is really paranoid about "conventional" foods and restaurants. Can't say I blame him though. He is also extremely cautious of all types of medications.

I have never been one to take some "magic cure all" pill, syrup, medicine, etc. I rarely get sick.My mother on the other hand, is ready to spoon feed someone a big heaping blob of some god awful tasting purple liquid at the first hint of a sniffle. *gasp* However, when I did my grocery shopping yesterday, it was 95% organic stuff. And I couldn't believe the taste difference in the ground beef.....delicious!!!

Re: has anybody read the book, Natural Cures "They" Don't want you to know about ???
never read it... Im gonna have to pick that one up.
Over the last six months I have been switching over to organic foods. I think they taste better anyway. Trying out the vegitarian thing too, but thats a whole different can of worms...
If you look at even alot of the "health foods" the ingrediants are a bit scary if you know what you're looking at. I think the best route is to stick mainly to fresh foods, and cook from scratch. Its a little more work, but well worth it imho.

Author Kevin Trudeau is nothing more than a fraudulent quack.

Don't waste your money on this book.
I find it funny that people think that if something is "natural" or "organic", it must be "better" or "safer" for you, your family, or pet. This is definately the case.
Case in point--Because of the contaminated pet food, more people are buying organic pet food thinking it could be unaffected.
I really don't see the reasoning behind this...organic food and products get recalled too! For example, see http://www.fda.gov/oc/po/firmrecalls...ence09_06.html

I understand Mendel, what you are saying. But I totally disagree with you about Trudeau being a fraudulent quack. The reason is that many of the things he mentions in his book, I already knew to be true before I even picked up the book. And I do think that organic food is much better for you. It's notfull of growth hormones ,pesticides, and chemicals. yes, ANY food regardless of whether its organic or not has the potential to become contaminated. but personally, i'd rather take my chances with the organic food instead, because "regular food" is already icky without the contaminant.

While I can't comment on the scientific part other than I don't like to put any unneccesary chemicals/pesticides/etc in my body, I will say that organic stuff tastes MUCH better in most cases. Nothin like home grown veggies too.
