rescue question
I recently acquired a young ball python from a friend of my sister, and all in all, he/she seems to be doing well, but there are some light spots on his head and body that concern me. Here are some pics, if you know or have any idea what it is or why the scales are discolored, please let me know. Thanks.

Re: rescue question
Hi,
I wouldn't worry about those scales too much - just make sure the humidity is right the next time he sheds and it should all be fine.
Pretty leopard gecko by the way.

Re: rescue question
As has been brought up before, that rat was not half as big as it looked in the picture, it was just about the same size as the snake....and thanks dr del for the response, hopefully a shed with be exactly what he needs.

Re: rescue question
Hard to really tell from the pictures but it looks a bit like old retained shed. As long as it's just those small patches and not fully encircling the snake I'd say make sure the husbandry (temps & humidity) are good and just work towards a nice complete shed and see if that resolves the issue.
