    can cresties eat banana?

I have a banana in my kitchen that's...er... gone past its prime(mushy, peel is brown.) Instead of throwing it away, I was wondering, could I put a little dab of it in the crestie cage as a treat?

Yep, I do it occassionally, and mine eat out of my fingers so it's easy to tell when they are done with it They got part of a strawberry the other night, one girl liked it and the other girl just walked away. Depends on their certain tastes I guess.

I guess I'm weird, hehe. I hold the whole banana up to them and let them eat what they want It's cute!

yummy banana! if you leave it mushed up for them make sure to remove it after about 24 hours--mashed banana gets nice and nasty when left sitting for too long.

I stirred it up with a little water so it would be nice and soft. The little red one came up and licked at it a minute ago.
