    im concerned again

my ball python has not been thermoregulating, shes ALWAYS on the coldside. My temps are fine, hotside is 92, cold is 82. I wake up in the middle of the night, shes still ALWAYS on the coldside. She doesnt have an RI or mites or anything, can anyone tell me why she doesnt go to the hotside? the hides are identical. I actually have a heat lamp on the coldside, just to keep it at 82, and on the hotside i have a UTH. Im wondering if the light is confusing her. But its infrared, i didnt think she could see that...

She may just like to lie cool. I have a few that lie cool. Every now and then (but not often) they'll lie warm. I still offer the temp gradiant - they'll thermoregulate when they want to. Just make sure that you're certain your temps are correct (by measuring with a reliable digital thermometer).

    Re: im concerned again

They will feel cool to us since our body temp is 98.6 and they are usually in temps in the low to mid 80's. If you pick them up and they feel hot to the touch usually your temps are to high.
If you have a temp gun check the temp of the snake and you will see they are more than likely in the 80's if all is well w/ your temps.
