I'm Sad

Not in the boo-hoo sense, but I'm sad as in, "man, get a life."

I'm sitting here at 2:30am, debating god and homosexuality with a bunch of 12-17 year olds. Its kinda funny really. I'm so tired, but I'm intent on making my point. Rather sad, really.

Anyone else ever stayed up really late at night on the internet debating with people you don't even know?

Well I'm not making any friends. One person liked what I had to say. But all I'm really getting from this debate is a pain in my neck for sitting at the computer for too long.

People don't have to always like what you say. Sometimes just hearing other peoples opinions can be very enlightening. The computer will still be here tomorrow, so you can get some rest.

Been there done that! Good times had by all lol. I remember playing an online game, where the winner wins some points to his/her account, and the loser then loses that amount of points from their account. The game froze while we were playing and we must of sat and argued in the frozen game room for about 5 hours, until he finally got disconnected and I won

If you stayed up that long and won your argument or got your point across im sure it was worth it.

ALL the time. Even though it's a lost cause sometimes. Last night I got offline when a guy was insisting that tegus are the same family and species as iguanas...
I gave him taxo names, all the differences, and how far apart they were(although they are both lizard shaped reptiles.. I gotta give him that). THEN he claimed that well okay.. but GECKOS and iguanas were the same family species.. whatever. Time for bed. He's just a arrogant know-it-all, and HAD a iguana once. His idea of throwing his weight around in a chat room, thinking no one will contradict him since he's just 'all that'.
His telling argument was that SOME iguanas eat meat.... so they and tegus are the same thing. *heaves big sigh*
It's not that I WANTED to argue with him, I don't like him. It's that such horrendous misinfomation presented by such a blow-hard just IRKED me. When I have to get up at 6am, and it's 2am, I HAVE to go to bed. So I threw the facts at him really quick, and said my brain hurt from dealing with it all, and left.

I've had a couple of instances when I "couldn't" get away from a debate... most every time it has revolved around pit bulls and the misinformation that people spew on the matter LOL... I just can't walk away from those! Especially after they tell me that my dogs are going to kill me or someone else some day soon... *sigh* Even when I know it's just a baiting stupid troll, I can't walk away... what if someone reads their garbage "info" and follows their biased links and forms an opinion that is based on a bunch of bunk info!? LOL I think I have to be passionate about the subjects, but I do have friends that remind me of Randall from Clerks (esp Clerks 2) in that they'll debate anyone on anything and they just enjoy getting under the skin of others and flaming...
