    Lighting. URGENT!

Alright, i have a very poor sleeping schedule. I'm up all night and sleep during the day. I usually turn the day light on around 4ish in the afternoon, and the night lamp on at 3 or 4 in the morning.

Is this unhealthy for the BP? I haven't seen any unusual behavior for the most part, and i would get a light timer, but i only use one light fixture on one side, the heat side.? I have the top all covered with ducttape and tinfoil, like i saw in a setup on this site, should i put another fixture on my cooler side and use that for the night? but will this effect how it, id on't know how to explain it or put it, but views the warm and cool sides? if during the day i have the daylight which is my heat bulb, on his heat side, and then have the night lamb which is his heatsource during the night on the cool side?

I'm trying to explain this best as possible, so i'm sorry if that didn't make sense? but i hope you at least try and understand what im' trying to say?

i think youde be ok if you put it in a closet or a dark toom with no natural light. that way, you make your own light schedule

So how do you switch? Is it as simple as swapping over lamps or do you actually change bulbs?

I don't use lights in the tub during darkness myself so don't have the same probbut it shouldnt cost that much to fit 2 individually fitted lights on timers assuming you have room - and yes I know thats a big assumption.

I'm asking for clarification not raggin on ya dude.

Yeah, it's in a room with no natural light ever. It's schedule is the one i gave to it. I just swap over lamps, from day to night. I just didn't know if they had a natural state to know when it was night, and day, or what? Do you think this is ok with what i'm doing then?

    Ask the snake really.

If it has no natural light I don't see anything wrong with you setting the schedule that suits you as long as it is regular -personal preference is for timers over here because I occaisionally sleep in and like to know I am ruining no-ones life but my own.

Coincidently that is why i never married - well that and the fact no-one ever asked me.

just as long as they have no natural daylight into the room, most animals, mammals, birds, inverts, herps all adapt to changes in day/night cycles. it is all about circadian rhythm, it can change without a problem just as long as there isn't any natural light to throw a wrench in the works.
