Just wanted to say.
Thank you for every little bit of piece of information that i have gotten from this site.
From the first day i bought my BP i fell in love, i was scared at first but knew that this was the pet for me. As i'm sure many people who bring their first snake home they are very anxious about keeping it healthy, having the right habitat, and just providing a loving home for it.
After about the first week of owning mine, i was constantly trying to get his temp right, the humidity right, the right hides, the right lights, the whole 10 yards. I swear i thought that i was going to be the death of him because i was so new to it. Then i came across this site, and I have never felt so welcomed on a forum before! This place really is like a family! It's too cool!
But i just had to post this and say that i have finally got everything under control. I get the Humidity to stay where it needs to be, i get both temps on the warm and cooler side accurate, and i can really tell a difference with my BP!
SO THANK YOU SO MUCH! and sorry if this is corney, i'm just in a very happy mood right now about the whole situation!
and i want to add that, i had always used the aspen bedding, and i liked it alot, but WOW, it is nearly impossible ( at least it was for me ) to keep humidity in there, so i switched to that coconut, eco earth? or something to that extent as the bedding and that is doing the trick. I am sure that the aspen bedding does work with alot of people, but did anybody else have that same problem with that perticular bedding? and if so why do ( or at least people i've come across in person ) so highly recommend it?
but yeah cool!
Now i'm going to try and invest in a Red Tail Boa!

Re: Just wanted to say.
I had problems w/the aspen, but that was because the holes I had melted into the tub were too many, and too big. After I plugged a bunch of them up w/the silicone gel, it worked out okay. With the tanks, I've covered the lids w/the glad-brand press 'n seal wrap. On the bigger tank, I mix the Eco-Earth WITH the aspen and it works well.
Congrats on your success.
