    Heat Mats!

Hi, does anybody have any suggestions for heat mat placement in a wooden vivarium? I have read that they can be placed on the floor or on the side of the viv, which works better?? Has anybody had a mat UNDER a wooden viv? Would enough heat get through the bottom as it is 15mm thick? Any ideas ? Thanks

    Re: Heat Mats!

i dont think that enough heat would come through the wood to heat the whole enclosure with the heat mat alone. you may have to add a heat lamp or heat up the room with a space heater or something. you may be able to place the heat mat inside the enclosure but underneath tiles or a plastic floor or something that will keep it from coming in contact with the animal or water.
