    Columbian Rainbow Boa?

For those of you who keep rainbow boas.
I got the opportunity to adopt a Columbian Rainbow Boa, but i have to get him today. I was planning on getting him this weekend after i had the cage setup. I have researched on the internet a little. I should have a basking are in the low 80's, the humidity in the 70s and two hides. Is there anything I am missing? It is only 18" long so what size enclosure? I will post pics once he has settled in.
    Thanks
    Trey

I would go pick up an appropriate sized tub, use cypress mulch as a substrate, and get higer 80's for basking temperature (86 to 88 deg).....Just make sure they shed properly and have clean water....and you should be setup with the basics

    Re: Columbian Rainbow Boa?

Just a little info, I'm sure you already know though. Colombian rainbow boas arnt as bright and colorful as brazilians. They are more of a brownish with the same pattern as brazilians but I believe they lose their pattern as they grow into adulthood and become a more solid brownish color. The pattern may not fade entirely but becomes less noticable with age. Very cool snakes, take some pics when you get yours.
