Re: Saharah video on feeding day

I use to hate the thought of feeding live untill I found out how many of the major petstore had their mice killed and f/t like petco and other stores.. we have a lab down in Seattle where many petstores get their rats and they're killed inhumanely so thats why we feed live, we breed and feed live. Maybe the people or person or whoever called you a "moron" or whatver didnt like the fact that you held the mouse down, which I also dont like to see. But atleast your snake gets to eat Anywho, Beautiful snake! Nice and big. How much does S/he weigh?

Re: Saharah video on feeding day

People think feeding live is bad. There is nothing wrong with feeding live when it is done right. As for me "holding" the rat down, I actually wasn't. You can see that I was standing by watching to make sure nothing went wrong. When she hit the rat, she hit it a bit wrong and the rats mouth/teeth were to close to her head for my comfort. So as you can see in the video I had tongs in hand and acted in getting the rats mouth away from her head in case it was able to reach and bite her. I do this with every one of my snakes that eats live.

    She is now 1800grams empty

Great video and who cares about the stupid comments they are pretty much par for the course when you post snakes eating on youtube. Some people are just stupid. Once again good video.

Thanks. Rude, mean, uneducated comments do not bother me at all. I'm use to someone having something to say so goes in one ear and out the other. What does bother me is when people say things along the line of that I'm doing something wrong by being there, supervising, making sure everything is fine and when something doesn't go like normal and I do step in and fix the problem people don't like it. I'm sure if I should have just stood there and let that rat bite my snakes head then they really would have been saying things. LOL I can see that I can't please everyone by doing the right or wrong things. Oh well.

That snake has such an awsome feed response, I love to see them lock on to the mouse/rat and track it around the cage. You did nothin wrong, the snakes that need to eat live are still pets, the rodents are food, they should still be treated with dignity but shouldn't be allowed to harm your pet. you did the right thing.
