    Special treats?

Does anyone every give their snakies special treats for the holidays(ie thanksgiving, easter, halloween)?
Just curious and this thread does not include balls since everyone will say "They are imprint feeders" or "rats and mice are a complete source of nutrients"
Going to pick up snacks for Ruby to have on easter today

You mean like peeps or ducklings? I see you mentioned Easter and easter means chick days at tractor supply. I really thought about it but what if my snake doesnt eat it? What will I do with it? I don't want more pet ducks (the first go at it was a fiasco and my ducks ended up at a farm with a pond)

    Re: Special treats?

For me, my boas will always eat them so there isn't a worry. Chicks to rabbits to guinea pigs are all fair game. I'll probably get a rabbit today for Ruby and get it in the freezer. Its hard to find rabbits in the 1 1/2 lb range around here

My redtail gets a bunny every now and again. But the last time he wouldn't eat it so he is back on rats. No special occasion needed though. Mostly if they (the pet store) don't have any good size rats he gets a bunny

I always have rats on hand in the freezer but sometimes I just feel like getting a bunny for her just because

    Re: Special treats?

I recently fed off some spastic younger guinea pigs(males) that couldn't be given away as pets, so Sonja got a treat. She doesn't have problems switching from rats, to guinea pigs to small rabbits. Live or frozen thawed, she could care less.
