fire bellied toad died last night

one of my first ever pets died last night, i got him at the end of second grade and i am just in my last semester of my seinor year of high school. my parents did not think they would be buying crickets for that long lol. i gave him to my little brother to have in his room because he wanted a pet like me and he was pretty sad but i guess he is in frog Heaven now.

Sorry to hear that. My pet rat died yesterday morning. My aunt and grandma were really bummed.

Thanks Robin. She was a feeder but man, she was SO freakin cute my heart wouldnt let me feed her to Abbath. I knew though the night before she died she wasn't actin right and I didnt know how to deal with how I could end her suffering. Plus I didnt wanna feed a sick rat to my snake.

Having recently lost a rattie who was purchased as a breeder, but then got sick, and would never be a breeder if she recovered - and become a beloved pet instead - I understand.

I am sorry to hear about your loss...it is a true testiment to your husbandry skills that he lived such a good long life.

So sorry about your toad, I too had no idea they lived that long and I'm sure he'll be very missed. Sorry also to hear about your pet rat Mike. Whether something hops, scurries, slithers, runs or trots...I think they work they way into our hearts and leave little "footprints" there.
