    pics of the snake room(DUW)

Here are some better pics to show what I am working with so far.

Thursday the front gets a new frame along with a door. Hopefully this weekend it gets wired and then it goes under the knife for insulation, walls, and flooring. I went and picked up the vinyl tile for the floor today and as soon as the wiring is done I will go pick up insulation.

So far I have gone through almost all of it with expanding foam and not much escaped my mercy lol

Here is the inside showing the back wall almost with almost all corners sealed.

Maybe it was a little overkill but I am trying to seal this as best as possible.

Here is a pic of my 2 rat breeding racks. They are not very pretty but they are only temporary until this is done and I can get some bigger ones built.

These little guys are so cute

    Tim,
Looking good. However, I have one suggestion. I read that you got your flooring already. I don't know if this was your plan or not, but I would install the floor last. Get all of the wall work done and make the last thing you do the floor. The reason I say this, is vinyl floor tears farily easily, and will get messed up while you are hanging walls and dropping tools. Trust me, I know first hand.

I am doing the floor last. I just picked it up tonight because I was at Home Depot and it was there. It will definitely be going in last though. I talked to a few employees and they said it should stick to the plywood as long as I clean it good.

It will stick to plywood fine but it won't be smooth. Which I don't think really matters in a snake room. If you want it smooth then you put down a thin board known as luian (sp)

The sealing job looks great, do you have any source for the bldg to breath?
    It shouldn't be airtight.

Looks like it is gonna be an awesome snake room and I can't wait to see it when it's done
