not getting hot enought?.............
i tried searching, but i didn't see anything..............i just fired up my RBI 32qt, rack system........and it's not getting hot enough inside the tub..........i have the probe taped to the flexwatt, and the helix is cranked all the way up to 110degs..............the acurite, reads only 84 inside on the hot side, and i have had it plugged in to warm up since last night..................
any suggestions
the temp gun also reads about 84, but that's hard to get a good reading of the air
Thanks in advance

Re: not getting hot enought?.............
the flexwatt is tight to the back of the unit...........i can't get to any of the connections.......................i just put my temp gun on the flaxwatt, and since my helix is set at 110.......the flexwatt is at 110........but inside the tub just doesn't get that hot

Re: not getting hot enought?.............
Have you placed the Helix probe INSIDE of the tub and tapped it down yet? Also place the Acurite probe right near the helix probe and tape that down too. If not do that and set your temp back to 90 and give it about 30-45 minutes and look at the readings.
I can't see having your helix at 110 and your tub is only in the 80's.
Give that a shot and get back to us on here.
We'll get it figured out!

Re: not getting hot enought?.............
How warm/cool is the room that the rack is in? If it is cooler than 80 or so, you're not going to have very good luck. Back heat isn't very efficient in cooler rooms.

In reading through this I would be careful. Just moving the probe off the flex and into the tube will NOT fix the fact that your flex watt is being run at a very high temp (110 is way too high). Yes the Helix is lower but if you use your heat gun on the flex watt my guess is it is still at 110+. you don't want the flex much higher than 95 all time (per the manufacturer). Be careful that you aren't giving yourself a false sense of security that you have fixed the problem.
What is the temp in the room where the rack is at? (as someone else pointed out) back heat is not very effecient so you lose a lot of heat to the air. If the room is too cool
